Pastor Mark Elkins

Mark graduated from Shepherd’s Theological Seminary with a Masters in Christian Ministry with a Concentration in Biblical Languages.  He, his wife Pamela, and their three daughters Casey, Maura, and Peyton moved to Stuart from Richmond in 2012 to accept God’s call to shepherd this wonderful flock of Christ.

He was born in the inner city of Baltimore, MD and after a series of bad choices he became 14 year old High School dropout.  After a year of wondering a providential blessing from God allowed Mark to enroll in a Christian High School where although he wasn’t saved, he was introduced to strong Christians and sound biblical teaching.  After graduating from Baltimore Lutheran High School in 1985 he attended D&E College in WV earning a BS Degree in Accounting/Finance.  After marrying the love of his life, Pamela McCue, they moved to Richmond, VA and started their family.

Mark had a number of jobs, including Branch Manager of a Fortune 500 Staffing Company and operating his own Recruiting Firm for ten years.  When he and Pam started having children she really wanted them to attend church and it was there that Mark first met Jesus Christ.  In a small men’s Bible study during Lent, a man named Bill helped lead Mark to Christ and introduce him to use his teaching gifts.  After many years of teaching local Bible studies Mark and Pam decided to close his business and pursue full-time ministry which eventually led them to Grace Baptist Church.
