Adult Sunday School

In his nourishing and instructional letter to Timothy, Paul stressed the importance of studying God’s word.

“All scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.” (2 Timothy 2:24)

At Grace Baptist Church, we believe in Sunday school, and we are serious about Bible study. Using the ratio of church membership to Sunday school attendance, we are proud that GBC Sunday school attendance far exceeds the national average. Currently we offer three adult Sunday school classes. Each class has a unique learning style, and any adult may choose the class that best supports the manner in which he enjoys studying the Bible.

Sanctuary Class
The Sanctuary Class uses the Bible as textbook. Their lessons come directly from the scriptures. They study chapter and verse. They use research materials, maps, and overhead projections, but the main text is always God’s written word—His love letter to us.

New Beginnings Class
This class feels comfortable using LifeWay Bible Study Quarterlies. The text presents a thematic approach to scripture. Some recent themes have been “Wrestling with Life’s Mysteries;” “Battle for the Mind;” and “God’s Christmas Songs.”

Young Adult Class
Members of this class are challenged by college studies or raising young children. They enjoy a more eclectic approach to study. They have used the Bible as text, Lifeway quarterlies, and currently they are using video lessons by Christian pastors.

Children's Sunday School classes are also available.
